Architect & Interior Designer
A registered Architect in the State of California and a member of the American Institute of Architects, David grew up in Pasadena and received his BA in Architecture from UC Berkeley in 1971. After working in several small architecture firms, he joined the San Francisco office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) where he became an Associate Partner responsible for major architectural commissions nationwide. In 1987 David joined The Pfister Partnership as Director of Design where he designed and managed high-profile commercial projects.
In 1991 David co-founded the interior design firm BAMO Inc. and served as the Principal for high profile hotel commissions including the Villa Feltrinelli in Italy, the Peninsula Chicago, the Four Seasons Bora Bora, the Taj Palace Mumbai, as well as offices for Latham & Watkins and the Read Foundation in the Bay Area. His clients include Four Seasons, Peninsula, Taj, Oberoi and Ritz- Carlton Hotels and a number of private clients.
Designer & Project Manager
With hands-on design experience, and a background in business and food writing, Laura specializes in the design of kitchens, bathrooms and interiors, as well as project management.
Laura grew up on the Monterey Peninsula and in Davis, California, where she earned her BA in Economics from UC Davis. From 1981 to 2002 she served as a business and finance analyst and senior administrator for the University of California system. Following her career with UC, she received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing from the University of San Francisco.
At the same time she became a nationally-recognized expert on cheese and olive oil, and is the author of “The Everything Cheese” book as well as various articles and short stories. Laura has contracted and managed the renovation of several properties in Alameda, Oakland, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa and The Sea Ranch.
